Savanna started a new line of inquiry this week. They are learning about our impact on the planet.サバンナクラスは、今週新しいLOIに入りました。私達はどのように地球に影響を与えているのか、という事について学び始めました。
Monday we did an experiment with ice an a hairdryer to see what would happen if our planet got too hot. Afterwards we discussed what might cause this and introduced air pollution. They watched a video and then talked about what it is and its affect on people and animals.月曜日、氷とドライヤーを使い実験を行いました。これらを使った実験で、子供達は地球がどう温暖化されていくのかを学びました。その後、何が原因になっているのかを話し合い、大気汚染について学びました。子供達は大気汚染についてのビデオを観て、大気汚染とは何か、また人間や動物に及ぼす影響について話し合いました。
Tuesday we discussed deforestation. After showing a video we talked about it as we did with air pollution. Thursday was the same as Monday and Tuesday.火曜日は、森林伐採について学びました。ビデオを観た後、大気汚染と同様、私達に及ぼす影響について話し合いました。木曜日は、水質汚染について同様に学びました。
Friday we reviewed each topic and then the students chose which topic they wanted to share with their class in a group project. The choices were kamishibai or a play. They will work on these projects in groups for the next week and then present them to their classmates the following week. We are very excited to see what they come up with.金曜日、それぞれのトピックについて復習をし、グループに分かれてそれぞれどのトピックについて調べたいのかを決めました。子供達は、紙芝居、またはロールプレイのどちらかの方法で発表を行います。来週はグループ毎の活動をし、発表に向けて準備をしていきます。
