This month has only just started and we have been so busy. Our Sports Festival is only a week away so we have been spending lots of time getting ready for that.
新しい月が始まったばかりですが、とても忙しい毎日を過ごしています。９月の大きなイベント、スポーツフェスティバルがあと一週間にせまり、今週はたくさん練習をしました。
Monday we did our writing practice. The students practiced writing the letter P this week. They all have been doing really well staying on the line and holding the pen correctly. There has been a lot of improvement since we started writing. While half of the students did the writing, the other half played outside. In between groups we had our music class where we continued learning about rhythm.
月曜日は「P」のライティングをしました。ペンを正しく持ち、線にそって字を書くのがとても上手になってきました。ライティングを始めた頃に比べて、ずいぶん成長したことが感じられます。クラスの半分のお友達が教室でライティングをしている間、もう半分のお友達は屋外遊びをしました。またこの日はミュージックレッスンもあり、リズムをとる練習をしました。
Tuesday was the open pool day. The students were all telling me how happy they were that their moms and dads were coming. I hope everyone had a great time as well.
火曜日はプール参観の日でした。お母さん、お父さんが見に来てくれてとっても嬉しかったようで、たくさんお話をしてくれました。保護者の皆様には、お忙しい中お時間を作っていただき、ありがとうございました。
Wednesday was a big rehearsal day for the Sports Festival. Aurora, Savanna, Shooting Star, Milky Way, and Rainforest all went to the gym that day. We practiced the whole morning and everyone did a great job!
水曜日は、スポーツフェスティバルのリハーサルがありました。オーロラ、サバンナ、シューティングスター、ミルキーウエイ、レインフォレストクラスのお友達みんながジムに集まってリハーサルを行いました。午前中いっぱい練習をし、最後までみんなとても頑張りました。
Thursday the students made a craft. This craft was part of their costume for the Sports Festival. There is a lot to do for the craft so we will do the craft 2-3 days. The class was split into two groups. One did the craft while the other played outside. Afterwards the groups switched. While we were outside I taught some of the students how to play hopscotch. It was a lot of fun!
木曜日はクラフトをしました。実はこのクラフトはスポーツフェスティバルで着用するコスチュームの一部になります！ギザギザの線をハサミで切るという少し難しい作業があり、一人ずつ製作しているので全員が終えるのに２－３日かかるかと思います。クラフトをするグループと外遊びをするグループに分かれ活動を行い、時間で区切り交代しました。外遊びの子たちとは、ホップスコッチ（ケン・ケン・パのようなもの）をして遊びました。とっても楽しかったです。
Friday we continued practicing for the Sports Festival and making our costumes. We are so excited and can’t wait to show everyone what we have been doing. Have a great weekend everyone!
金曜日は木曜に続き、スポーツフェスティバルの練習とクラフトをしました。みんな真剣に練習をしていて、とてもいいパフォーマンスが出来ています。みなさんにお見せする日が待ち遠しいです。
