Welcome to our second blog for the month of September.
As Grandparents’ Day is fast approaching, we would want to remember our grandpa and grandma on their special day by making a beaded bookmark that they can use to put between the pages of the book they love reading so that they can find a page again quickly. Before we started making it, we talked a little bit about the roles of grandparents in our lives. Students mentioned like, My grandparents cook, harvest rice, etc. Our beaded bookmark was carefully made by our tiny hands with our personal photo on it which made it more lovely. Here’s to the wisdom and warmth of our grandparents!
9月16日（月）は敬老の日！みんなが大好きなおじいちゃん、おばあちゃんのことを思いながら、プレゼントのしおりを作りました～🎁💖「私のおばあちゃんは料理をしてくれるの」「おじいちゃん大好き💖だっていろんな玩具を買ってくれるんだもん😊」とおじいちゃんやおばあちゃんのことを教えてくれました。しおり作りでは、小さなビーズに紐を通すことに挑戦！穴が小さいので苦戦していた子どもたちですが、一生懸命作っていました✨是非使用してくださいね💖「おじいちゃん、おばあちゃん、いつもありがとう😊だ～い好き💖」
For our UOI, we made a bee for our craft to be used to display for the upcoming Sport Festival. Prior to the craft, we did a recap of our past lesson about the relationship of ladybugs, aphids, and bees to our lives. Students reiterated that aphids are not useful in our lives because they eat plant leaves, while ladybugs are useful in our lives because they help as pest control by eating aphids. Students said, bees are also useful because they give us honey and they help grow the plants through pollination. Bees are harmless insects, but be careful not to threaten them otherwise they will sting you. After the short review, we began making the bee craft. We painted the paper cup beforehand, and once dry, we glued googly eyes onto the front, wrapped the black yarn around the paper cup to create the bee’s body, and finally attached the wings with a special glue. Our bees are ready to fly!
UOIのLOI2で、ハチ🐝について学んできた子ども達。「ハチはハチミツをくれる。受粉もしてくれるね。でも、気を付けないとハチは刺すんだよ」などと振り返りながら、今週はそんなハチさんのクラフトをしました✨絵具で紙コップに色をつて、毛糸でハチの模様を付けました❕クラフトが大好きな子ども達💖出来上がった自身のハチ🐝を手に取り、「ブーン」と言いながら楽しそうに遊んでいました😊
We went to the gym for our parachute performance, race, and shooting the ball practice. We strived to be communicators, reflective, and caring during the practice. And because we finished our practice without delay, we used our remaining time to play in the gym. We had such a great time!
スポーツフェスティバルまであと1週間❕練習も大詰めです✨暑かったジムだけど、練習頑張りました💪
For our Music lesson, we felt ease singing Japanese songs, listening to the different sounds of insects and naming them, and playing our pianica with mi, re, do (3x) re keys. We strived to be reflective and risk-takers in playing our pianica with the right keys.
ピアニカでは新しい曲「ぶらんこ」の練習をしています。4月に比べると、指もスムーズに動いてピアニカを弾いている子ども達。すごいです😊💖
Our week is incomplete without outdoor play! We walked to the park and spent time playing with our friends. And we also spent some days in the schoolyard finding some insects around us and checking pollen in flowers. Oops, bee is coming. Freeze!
公園に行くのが大好きな子ども達😊まだまだ残暑が続く中でしたが、大喜びで出かけました❕いっぱい歩いて、いっぱい遊んで、体力をつけていこうね～💛
