We are risk-takers-Shooting Star-September 24th-27th

Hello Everyone,

Welcome to our last blog for the month of September.

This week we were pretty loaded with varieties of educational fun-filled activities.

First, we had our  Sport Festival drawing task. We drew the memories that we held in our hearts for Sports Festival 2024. Many students drew the parachute performance, and a few drew the race. With their crayons and a plain white art paper, they sat at the table or on the floor and drew what they had in mind.

Next, we had Gym lesson. We started with physical exercises, then race, playing tag, and disc cones gross motor activities. We’re full of boundless energy!

Guess what? The firefighters came with a fire engine. They came to see how well we carried out the earthquake and fire drill. Once the firefighters finished lecturing and the teachers done practicing how to put fire out with extinguishers, all classes headed to the fire engine to take pictures with the firefighters and walked around to see the apparatus.

Another particular event that we had this week was our special snack. This was a surprise snack for everyone because it was the first time we tasted it. We purposely did it as part of our inquiry about insects. To recall, we asked students if we can eat insects. Most of them said, No! And only two said, Yes! So here we are, we prepared honey, bee larva, and cricket crackers to once and for all shed light on our inquiry. When students first tasted the crunchy cricket cracker, they were trying to figure out what it was until the teacher revealed to them that they were actually eating insect food-cricket cracker. Students were puzzled at the moment and had different reactions. They couldn’t believe that they were eating insect food. However, they finished eating everything. The second one was the honey. As expected, everyone loved it. The last insect food they tasted was the bee larva. When they saw it at first, they said, I don’t like it, but when tried with a biscuit, they asked for more. Bravo, Risk-takers!

Finally, we had so much fun playing outside.

Have a wonderful weekend, everyone.
