Welcome once again to our blog.
The first graders have been working on our second line of inquiry which is, “Human activities that affect animals in a negative way”. In this line of inquiry, Grade 1 students have researched and recorded by themselves their findings like mining, dynamite fishing, animal hunting, industrial waste, residential waste, oil pollution, blackwater/sewage, and urbanization. Then, they presented their work by group. They have developed their skills being communicators by explaining in class about their findings of their research and they were able to ask good questions too. They are not only communicators, but inquirers as well.
皆さん、こんにちは。私達のブログをお読みいただきありがとうございます。今週の1年生は2つ目の探究の流れ「物にマイナスの影響を与える人間の活動」に焦点を置き取り組みました。この探究の流れでは、グループで調べて、採鉱、ダイナマイト漁、動物ハンティング、産業廃棄物、住宅廃棄物、油による汚染、汚水（黒い水）、都会化現象などの調べて分かったことを記録しました。それから、グループ毎にプレゼンテーションを発表しました。リサーチを行い分かったことをクラスの皆に説明することでコミュニケーションができる人になり、さらにコミュニケーションスキルを向上することができました。また、とてもよい質問もたくさん出てきました。コミュニケーションができる人だけでなく、探究する人でもありました！
