As corona infection is surging high, Aurora class continues to promote educational activities while giving maximum consideration to infection prevention measures新型コロナウイルスの急速な感染拡大の中、オーロラクラスでは最大限の感染症対策を徹底し、クラスでの教育活動を行っています。
✅ Unit of Inquiry
We are now on the third week of our learning journey of our fourth Unit of Inquiry with our Transdisciplinary Theme: How We Organise Ourselves, Central Idea: People have roles and responsibilities to organize our school environment, and we have just started with our second line of inquiry which is, The effect of following or breaking the rules”. We strived to be thinkers, knowledgeable, and reflective. This unit has impacted tremendously to our self-management and thinking skills. We talked over the good ideas how to keep our class organize and we have come up with an idea that we need to assign helpers in the class with specific rules to be followed through. Everyday different helpers are being assigned in the class such as clean up helpers, line helpers, writing helpers, lunch/snack helpers, and locker helpers. Each helper knows what’s being expected of him or her with a slight support from the teachers and at the end of the day, we have a moment of reflection to assess ourselves if we are able to carry out our role or not and we discuss things that we need to improve upon. We have noticed that Aurora class learned to take ownership of our learning by being motivated, engaged, and self-directed. Our learning experience involved action and reflection which made it more meaningful.
新しいUnit４に入り、3週目を迎えています。How We Organise Ourselves私たちはどのように組織しているのか、をテーマに、 People have roles and responsibilities to organize our school environment スクール環境を構成するためのルールと責任、をセントラルアイディアに、2番目の探求に今週から入りました。2番目のLOIは、” The effect of following or breaking the rules ”です。ルールに従う場合とルールを守らない場合ではどのような影響があるのかを、探求し始めました。ここでの学習者像も、 thinkers考える人, knowledgeable知識のある人,そしてreflective振り返りのできる人の3点です。このUnitを通して、子ども達には、考える力をつけ、知識を増やし、また自分自身を反省し振り返ることができるように なってほしいと思っています。このユニットは、子ども達の自己管理スキルと思考力を育む事に大きく作用しているように思います。クラスでは、子ども達と一緒に、どのようにすれば、クラスをオーガナイズすることができるのかを考え、そしてHelpers（お当番さん）を持つ考えに至りました。Helpersになった子どもたちは、それぞれのお仕事があります。 clean up helpers, line helpers, writing helpers, lunch/snack helpers, locker helpers の5種類のお当番さんがあり、毎日2人ずつお当番さんになります。つまり10名の子どもが毎日お当番さんです！先生の多少のヘルプはありますが、ほとんどの子ども達はどのお当番さんが何のお仕事をするのかを理解しています。一日の終わり、帰りの会でそれぞれのお当番さんたちが自分の仕事ができたいたのかをクラス全体で話し合い、評価をし、そしてさらにクラスが良くなるように改善をしています。オーロラクラスの子ども達は、モチベーションをもち、自らしようとする姿があり、楽しみながら学んでいます。この学びの経験は、アクションとその行動に対する振り返りができ、子ども達にとって本当に意味のある学びとなっています。
✅ Gym
Our Gym lesson was fun. We did some stretching and running. We played the “What time is it Mr. Wolf?” and the Bee Tag game. The huge gym was filled with laughing and racing Everyone had so much fun.
体育館に行きました。ストッレチをしたり、走ったりしました。 What time is it Mr. Wolf? とハチさんごっこのゲームをしました。広い体育館は、子ども達の笑い声に溢れました。楽しい体操の時間を過ごしました！
✅ Park
Since we were restricted to go to the park because of covid, we still got time to go for a walk around the neighborhood. Walking improves our endurance. We felt good, calm, and happy.コロナ感染レベルが高いため、公園に行くことは自粛しています。公園には行かれませんが、近所を歩いてお散歩を楽しみました。
