This week was another week of good fun and learning. We dramatised greetings in a conversation. One by one the teacher called each child out to the front of the class. We “walked” around in class and when we see each other we say,
Teacher: Hello XXX! (or Good morning)
Child: Hello ( or Good morning)
Teacher: How are you today?
Child: I’m fine thank you.
今週はまた楽しい一週間となりました。会話の中でドラマのようにある表現を楽しみ、学びました。先生が一人ひとりお名前を呼び、呼ばれたお友達は前に立ち、クラス内を歩き、行き会うお友達に以下のような挨拶をする、というものです。
先生: Hello 名前! (or Good morning)
子供: Hello ( or Good morning)
先生: How are you today?
子供: I’m fine thank you.
The children did well and we had good laughs pretending to be strolling in the park. Talking about the park, we did have fun playing in the park. Indoors in the classroom, we counted with finger puppets and measured long and short.
また、公園では園内をお友達と2人づつ手をつないで歩く練習をしました。公園といえば、勿論いつも楽しく遊んでいます。室内遊びとしては、指人形で数を数えたり、長い、短いをはかったりしました。
We made a snowflake for Christmas craft. The children improved in their concentration and focus. They were on-task picking out each bit of spangle and pasting on their popsicle sticks snowflake. A lovely snowflake song was introduced to class too.
クリスマスのクラフトではsnowflakeを制作しました。子供たちは以前に比べて集中力が付きました。子供たちは小さなスパンコールを一つづつ手に取り、アイスクリームのスティック上に貼り付けました。また可愛いsnowflakeのお歌も楽しみました。
Our topic for the month is Toys. We learned vocabulary for different kinds of toys – puzzle, soft toy, car, superhero, blocks, dress up. Each child also chose which toy they wanted for Christmas and we displayed the pictures outside the classroom!

For Gym class, we started the lesson with a good warm up – running races! We needed that to beat the chill. We had a rope game – hopping over like a bunny, and crawling under like a crocodile. Our favourite was making a train with rope and walking through a “tunnel”.
ジムのクラスでは、かけっこをして体を温めたり、長縄跳びを使用したゲームなどを楽しみました。ウサギのように飛び越えたりワニさん歩きでくぐったり、でも一番の人気は電車ごっこです。トンネルを抜けて楽しみました。
Finally, to wrap up our busy week, we had our monthly birthday party. Two Meadow children turned 3 in the month of December. Happy 3rd Birthday! 🎉😍
金曜日には12月生まれさんのお誕生会を開きました。Meadowクラスからは2名のお友達が3歳になりました。
On that congratulatory note, we have a long weekend because of the Emperor’s birthday. Have a fabulous weekend of celebration!
