Meadow worked on letters Tt and Ss this week. Tt for train, teeth, tiger, towel, tea and Totoro! Ss for sun, snake, spider, Shunsei, Shuri and Serena! 😊✌🏻 The children matched the alphabet flash cards that were displayed in class too.
今週Meadowさんでは、TtとSsの2つのアルファベットを学びました。Ttはtrain, teeth, tiger, towel, tea そして Totoro! Ss は sun, snake, spider, Shunsei, Shuri そして Serena!とお馴染みの言葉を用いて学びました。またその言葉と同じアルファベットのフラッシュカードを見つけるマッチングゲームも楽しみました。
In early literacy, we introduce letter sounds as well as identifying letter names. Children learn that “Tt” makes the sound /t/ and that is the beginning letter sound for train, tea, tiger. This builds the foundation for reading in the later stage. The most meaningful start will be our names for children to think about letter sounds.
We continued our body cut-outs adding in clothes and displayed them outside the classroom. The children were delighted and amused at their life-size bodies!
早い段階での言葉の勉強では、アルファベットの名前と音を教えます。例えば、子供たちはアルファベットのTt”ティー”は名前で、train, tea, tigeなどの言葉が持つ”トゥ”の音があることを学びます。このようにフォニックスを学ぶことで、その言葉を知らなくてもアルファベットを読むことが出来、今後の読む力となります。Meadowさんではお友達の名前、自分の名前をアルファベットで知ることから始めていきます。
また今週は引き続きour bodyを学んでいます。身体ラインのトレーシングした紙を切り、そこへもう一つのテーマである服を着せてみました。クラスの壁に展示していますので是非ご覧ください。子供たちは等身大の自分に驚き、そして喜んでいます。
In the Gym this week, Meadow, Lagoon and Rainbow were fantastic with the circle game. All of us made a huge circle holding hands and not letting go. We walked 10 steps forward and backward. The children enjoyed it!

ジムのクラスでは、Meadow,Lagoon,Rainbow が合同で素敵なゲームしました。全員で手を繋ぎ、手を離さないように気を付けながら、おお大きな円を作りました。十歩前に進んだり、後ろに戻ったりもしました。とても楽しい活動が出来ました。
