Today was Shooting Star’s open-school day. Mommies and daddies came and visited our class and observed how we study in the classroom! 今週金曜日はSSクラスの参観日でした。お父さん、お母さんがクラスに来てくれ、クラスで何を学んでいるのかを観てくださいました！
Because of Covid-19, the participants were limited to only one parent for each student. But that’s okay because most of the mommies and daddies took a video of their child’s presentation, so they can show it to other family members later. 新型コロナ感染症予防の為、各ご家庭から1名のみの参観に限定させて頂きましたが、ビデオなどを撮影するご家庭も多く、子供達の発表をご自宅で来れなかったご家族と見ていただけたら嬉しく思います。
During the class, we reflected and reviewed the lessons we studied during the last unit; We focused more on Global Warming, Pollutions, and How We Can Help The Earth. All the students participated well in the discussions and shared what they have learned in the unit. They know the meaning of Global warming, what pollution is, and have a clear concept of how can they help the earth to maintain its balance and be a good home to us! It’s clear evidence that they have understood the lessons and absorbed what they have learned well. クラスでは、最後のユニットで何を学んできたかの振り返りをし、特にGlobal WarmingとPollutionsについて、またどうしたら地球を守ることができるのかについて振り返りました。殆どの子供達がディスカッションに参加し、何を学んできたのか、知識を共有することができました。Global Warmingの意味をしっかりと理解し、Pollutionsとは何かも理解し、私達に何ができるのかをクリアにしっかりと考えることができました。
The main event of the open-school day was the presentation of the students. The students presented about 3 pollutions: Air Pollution, Deforestation and Water Pollution. Two groups presented through role-playing and the other group presented using kamishibai. The students delivered their lines with big voices, stood nicely in front, and acted with confidence. The parents couldn’t hide the smiles on their faces while watching their children presenting in front. Very cute indeed! 参観日の主な活動は、子供達のプレゼンテーションでした。子供達は3つの公害Air Pollution、Deforestation、Water Pollutionについて発表をし、２つのグループはロールプレイのスタイルで発表をし、１つのグループは紙芝居での発表をしました。皆んな大きな声でセリフが言え、しっかりと立ち、そして何より自信を持って堂々と発表できました。沢山の方が笑顔で見てくれました。子供達の発表は本当に可愛かったですね！
