Hello everyone,みなさまこんにちは！
It has been a short but memorable week for us. This week, we have spent practicing for the Sports Festival and at last, the day of waiting is over! Hooray! Kids wore smiles on their faces when they enter the gym with their mom and dad. Getting ready at the starting line, some kids looked nervous and most of the kids were relieved being with their parents. They did their best to show off what they can do. We heard their big voices saying ” I’m here!” when their names were called. The race went smoothly with both parent and child cooperation. They also had so much fun throwing balls in the box and went back in the line when they heard the last whistle to stop. Well done, our little superheroes! To parents who have allotted their time to join this event, kids really had a wonderful time together and we appreciate your patience and cooperation. Also to friends who weren’t able to join, we look forward to seeing you next week
今週は登園日が2日と短くはありましたが、心に残る週になりました。最後の運動会の練習を頑張り、そして遂にその日をおかあさんと迎えました！Meadow,Rainbowクラスのお友達はみんなお父さんまたはお母さんと一緒に、これまでに見たことのない満面の笑みで体育館に入場しました。競技では、スタートラインに並び、お父さんお母さんと少しだけ離れたときにはナーバスな表情をしていたお友達もいましたね。先生にお名前を呼ばれた時も、みんな”I’m here!”とお返事することもできましたね！親子で力を合わせてスムーズに競技が運びました。玉入れでもみんな笛の音を聞いて拾うことをやめてお座りすることもできました。本当によく頑張りました！お忙しい中、競技に参加をしていただき誠に有難うございました。そして子ども達との素敵な時間をありがとうございました。残念ながら運動会に参加できなかったお友達、また来週会えることを楽しみにしています♪
Shapes
In continuation of our last week’s lesson we did an activity “fishing the shapes”. Our youngsters enjoyed catching the fish and were able to distinguish the shapes and say them in front of their friends. They love doing the activity and wanted to do it many times.
We have introduced the remaining sets of shapes, Oval and Diamond. First, We showed pictures of objects which has oval shapes and asked them to name them and their shape. They said with confidence, ” mirror, balloon, egg, It’s an Oval! Good job, everyone.
先週からの続きで、今週もShapesを学びました。Shapes釣りを取り入れ、理解を深めました。魚にShapesを描き、先生の指定した形の魚を釣り、皆の前で何のShape（形）なのかを発表しました。みんなこの活動が気に入り、何度も釣りたい！と言っていました。そして、まだ導入していなかった形、OvalとDiamondを紹介しました。Oval（楕円形）やDiamond（ひし形）の形をしたものの絵を見せ、形の名前を英語で言う練習をしました。鏡、風船、卵などを見て、It’s an Oval!と自信満々に言うことができていました！
