ISN Elementary Class has been appreciating the many colours you can make from mixing just a few colours. From just 3 primary colours and black and white students made the colours of a rainbow: 21 different colours!
Our transdisciplinary theme is “How we express ourselves” and our central idea is “Through creative arts we can discover a culture’s history, beliefs and values.” Today students painted their own masterpieces using this rainbow of colours. Choosing from different size brushes, students painted from detailed to larger areas. Even though no one actually painted a rainbow, everyone really appreciated the wide selection of colours to help them express their amazing ideas.
Students continue to be inspired by the many forms of art that we have been able to research so far. Yesterday and today we investigated stain glass art, from the making of these colourful art pieces to the finished product. We look forward to looking at more incredible ways that people express their ideas.
