Hello, everyone. Another week of preparing for the Performance day is behind grades 4, 5 and 6. This week has lead them to the Matsumoto performing arts center, where they got the chance to perform on the very stage where the event will take place. All of the students were very excited, their teachers were nervous, and our classroom lizard Luxurious went on the trip as well. The students tried very hard and were complimented for their efforts by everyone at the hall. There are still a few props to finish, lines to brush up on and dance moves to practice, but everyone is excited about showing “Monster Island” to the audience next Friday. 💃
皆さん、こんにちは。今週もG4/5/6クラスはパフォーマンスデイに向けて一丸となり準備をしました。まつもと市民芸術館に行き、実際のステージでリハーサルを行いました。みんな、とてもワクワクしていましたが、先生はナーバスになっていました。教室に置いてあるトカゲ “ラグジュアリアス”も一緒にステージに行きました。ステージ上ではみんな一生懸命頑張り、お互いの頑張りを褒め合っていました！あともう少し完成させなければいけない小道具や、台詞とダンスなどの最終調整も必要です。来週の金曜日に、観客の前でモンスターアイランドを披露することを楽しみにしています！ 💃
On Wednesday, the school was visited by professional voice actor Ms. Tobiyama. She spoke about her job and entertained students with various voices and songs. She finished by telling a story and showing the students how many art forms can be joined together, like writing, reading, acting a music to show a persons emotions more clearly. 水曜日は、プロの朗読家・司会の飛山様とピアニストの山縣様にお越しいただきました。彼女の仕事について話をしてくださり、また色々なトーンの声や歌で子どもたちを楽しませてくれました。物語を読み終えた後、人々の感情をよりはっきりと示すために、書くこと、読むこと、音楽を演奏することなど、いくつの芸術形態を一緒に組み合わせることができるのかを披露してくれました。まさに、自分自身を表現するですよね？！パフォーマンスの様子を添付の動画でご覧頂けます！
On Thursday, we enjoyed another story – the one told by Grade 1 students who have generously suggested presenting their performance day play “The Lion King” to grade 4, 5 and 6 students. Everyone enjoyed it very much. Have a nice, relaxing weekend, everyone! ⭐
