A busy week for Aurora as we prepared masks for Setsubun, learned about savannah habitat and animals, and played with white glorious snow! ❄️
The week started with a party for our Birthday boys and girls. Two of Aurora’s students turned 4. Happy happy birthday! 🥳With an upcoming school event for Setsubun, we made demon masks.
今週は節分用に鬼のお面を作ったり、サバンナやそこに住む動物たちを探求したり、たくさんの降り積もった雪で遊んだりと、忙しい一週間を過ごしました。
月曜日は1月生まれのお友達のお誕生日会がありました。オーロラクラスからは2人のお友達が4歳の誕生日を迎え、南キャンパスのみんなにお祝いをしてもらいました。お誕生日おめでとう！来週行う節分のイベントのため、鬼のお面を作りました。自分たちの好きな色のお弁当用おかずカップを選んで、ほとんどの作業を一人で行うことが出来ました。色々な表情のお面が出来ましたよ！
For our IB theme “Sharing the Planet”, our line of inquiry brought us to the African savannah. We discovered that the fastest animal on land – the cheetah doesn’t roar. It chirps and purrs! We charged like a wildebeest, swayed our lion’s mane in the wind and trumpeted like lions. We exercised our minds and bodies! In gym too, we made some jumps and hops. We had more fun at the park, played “What is the time Mr Wolf?” and had snow play in the schoolyard.
IBテーマ「地球の共有」での活動で、今週はアフリカのサバンナについて探求をしました。地球上で一番早く走れる動物、チーターは吠えないということを発見しました。彼らは、甲高い声で鳴いたり、ゴロゴロ喉を鳴らしたりします。ヌーのように突進する真似をしてみたり、ライオンの鬣（たてがみ）が揺らいでいるポーズをしたり、ライオンがラッパのような音を出す真似をしたりして、動物の真似っこ遊びを楽しみました。体操教室でも、跳び箱からジャンプしたり、跳び箱をまたいでジャンプしたりしました。公園では、「オオカミさん今何時？」のゲームをして遊びました。そして、玄関前広場では雪遊びをしました！
