We had a fun week starting our new topic of audible art. This was introduced as art that we hear. I brought in a few instruments for the students to hear and see. There was a piano, ukulele, and they already had a pianica. I also showed them pictures of other instruments that I couldn’t bring in since I don’t have them. Friday I will have a guitar with me to play as well. I will talk more about writing music and singing as an art Friday.
Thursday we went to the art museum again with the second group and it was so fun. The students were able to do a little art activity there as well just like the first group did. The students were also able to tell the difference between a photo and a painting. The first group stayed with Ms. Rieko to practice for the Christmas performance. When we got back the second group was able to practice with Ms. Hitoko while I took the others outside for some fun and games.
We have been practicing everyday for our Christmas performance and I believe the students are doing a wonderful job. Some of them have been doing the dances throughout the day between activities. We can’t wait to show all of you the hard work we have put into the performance and hope you will enjoy it.
