Hello Everyone!みなさま、こんにちは。
It’s always hard to let go of summer, but what makes that goodbye a little easier for Aurora is the fact that autumn 🍂 is on the other side. After Aurora’s fun-filled craze of summer, autumn is a time for us to slow down, get cozy, and take a deep breath. Happy Fall Y’all.夏にサヨナラすることは寂しいですね。でも、新しい季節、秋の到来はオーロラクラスのお友達にとっても別の楽しみがあるので夏にGoodbyeということを少しだけ言いやすくしてくれますね。夏ならではの遊びを満喫したオーロラさんにとっては、秋は少ーしスローダウンして穏やかに深呼吸をする季節かもしれませんね。皆様にも素敵な秋が来ますように！
✅ Unit of Inquiry
Aurora class had finished the Unit 2 which is Sharing The Planet. Each group (Farm/Pet, Mountain, and Ocean) made a diorama and presented it in class by naming the animals, exhibiting people’s actions that impact animals, and telling whether the action is good or bad human actions. After the presentation, we made some reflections by interviewing them one by one and answering the questions, What did you like the best? Why? and What do you want to learn more. Most of the students said, I like making the diorama because I like animals and I want to learn more about ocean and mountain animals. Then we read a book entitled, You Are The Only One, But Never The Lonely One. We loved this book because it’s much related to our unit.
Sharing The Planet（私たちは地球を共有している） というタイトルのUNIT２が終了しました。 Farm/Pet, Mountain, Oceanの3つのグループに分かれたオーロラさんは、今週グループで作成したジオラマの発表を行いました。ジオラマの中に作成した動物を発表し、その後HumanActionを何か一つ行い、そのActionがGoodなのか、Badなのかを説明しました。プレゼン後、ReflectionTimeを設け、子どもたち一人一人と面接をしました。面接では、 What did you like the best? Why? and What do you want to learn moreの3つの質問をしました。 ほとんどの子が、”I like making the diorama because I like animals and I want to learn more about ocean and mountain animals ”と答えていました。 最後に、先生が、「You Are The Only One, But Never The Lonely One 」というタイトルの本を読みました。この本は、Unit2に深くかかわっている内容なので、子どもたちも楽しめたと思います。
✅ Phonics and Tracing
This week we learned phonics T /t/ tortoise 🐢, tent 🏕, tiger 🐅, tree 🌳, and tomato 🍅 and we colored the objects. Then we traced it. Surprisingly, Aurora’s fine motor skills is becoming more controllable.今週のフォニックスでは、Ttを学びました。 Tから始まる5つの単語は、 tortoise 🐢, tent 🏕, tiger 🐅, tree 🌳, tomato 🍅 です。トレーシングも行いました。オーロラクラスの指先のスキルが、以前より確実に上達しています。
✅ Relaxation and Fun
Finally, it’s time for us to relax as we breathe in the fresh air outside. Our social skills have been developed so dramatically as we play and have fun outside with our friends.金曜日は、大変気持ちの良いお天気のなか、外遊びを満喫しました。遊んでいる様子から、子どもたちのソーシャルスキルも劇的に良くなっていると感じました！
