Hello everyone!🤗 It has been another fun and exciting week here in Aurora class! Our goal is for our students to enjoy the remaining days of school as Aurora students and we want them to remember how fun it is in our class. Since they have been loving the games we are doing in our lessons, we are providing them more opportunities to play games but also making sure that they are learning.😊
みなさん、こんにちは！ 私たちの目標は、生徒たちがオーロラの生徒として残りの日々を楽しみ、クラスでの楽しい思い出を作ってもらうことです。 子ども達はレッスンで行っているゲームを気に入ってくれているので、その機会を増やすだけでなく、ゲームを通して確実に学習できるようにしています。
In Phonics, we learned about the uppercase and lowercase letter Yy as in yellow, yarn, yoyo, yawn, yolk, and yoga. We played another game which is also good for their fine motor skills. It’s called Letter Yy Q-tip Erase wherein they need to erase either the uppercase or lowercase Yy on the board using the cotton bud as fast as they can. Everybody was competitive and did their best to win and at the end only one group won, but all of them got a sticker as reward. Great job!👏
フォニックスでは、yellow(黄色）、yarn（毛糸）、yoyo（ヨーヨー）、yawn（あくび）、yolk（卵黄）、yoga（ヨガ） などのY・ｙの大文字と小文字について学びました。 また、手先の運動機能にも良いゲームをしました。 これは 「Letter Y・y Q-tip Erase」 と呼ばれ、綿棒を使ってホワイトボード上の Y・y を探し、できるだけ早く消すものです。 グループ対抗で競り合い、勝つために最善を尽くし、最終的には 1 つのグループが勝ちました。でも、全員が良く頑張ったのでご褒美にシールを受け取りました。 よくできたね！
In UOI, we created a book wherein we compiled all the transportation pictures they brought from home. They cut the picture and pasted it on the colored paper which will serve as the content of our book. We also included the pictures of the transportation we saw at the park during our observation day. We call it Aurora’s Transportation Book.📔
UOIでは、子ども達が持ち寄った乗り物の写真をまとめた本を作りました。 写真を適当な大きさに切り取り、本となる色画用紙に貼り付けました。 また、公園での乗り物観察の際に見た乗り物の写真も掲載しました。 「オーロラの乗り物達」と呼びます。（近日公開！）
We also played a transportation sorting race game. Students had to get a picture on the table and post it in the right category as land, sea, and sky. We were surprised how fast they could think of the answer while aiming to win the game. Well done, Aurora!⭐
また、乗り物の仕分けレースゲームも行いました。 テーブルの上にある写真を手に取り、陸、海、空の適切なカテゴリーに掲載しなければなりません。 ゲームに勝つことを目指しながら、子ども達が素早く答えを考える（行動できる）ことに驚きました。よくやったね、オーロラ!
Another activity we did for UOI was the Name Train. They counted the letters of their name and cut out rectangles, the head of the train, and circles. After pasting all the parts of the train, they wrote their names on the rectangles. They also put some cotton as smoke that comes out from a train. Making this craft had made them busy after naptime. Aurora class has actually a shorter nap now in preparation for next school year in Shooting Star class.🤩
UOI で行ったもう 1 つの活動は 「Name Train（名前列車）」 でした。 自分の名前の文字を数え、四角形、電車の先頭車両、丸を切り取り、 全てのパーツを貼り付けた後、四角形に名前を書きました。 また、列車から出る煙として綿を貼りました。 このクラフトを作るために、昼寝の後の子ども達は大忙しでした。オーロラクラスは、次のシューティングスタークラスへの進級に備えて、昼寝時間を短縮しています。
On Friday, we had a Setsubun event in school wherein Oni monsters came to each classroom and students must throw beans (newspaper balls) to get rid of them. Few minutes before the monsters came, they were waiting and seemed excited to see them, but when they came everyone got very scared and started screaming and crying. Boys were so brave that they were able to throw beans at the monsters and succeeded in pushing them away. Before this event, our class made an oni monster hat. They chose the color they wanted for the hat, cut out the eyebrows they liked, drew the eyes, and glued them to complete the hat. After making it, they said “Mine is scary!”👹👹👹
金曜日、学校の節分イベントで各教室に鬼がやってきました。子ども達は豆（新聞のボール）を投げて鬼を退治しなければなりませんでした。 鬼が来る数分前から待っていて、鬼に会うのを楽しみにしていましたが、実際に来ると、みんな恐怖に怯え、叫び声を上げて泣き始めました。 男の子たちは勇敢に豆を投げ鬼を退散させることに成功しました。 また、このイベントの前に、クラスでは鬼の帽子を作りました。 好きな色の帽子を選び、好きな形に眉毛を切り取り、目を描き、のりで貼り付けて帽子を完成させました。 作ってみたら「私の怖い！」と言っている子がいました（笑）
Aurora students are very energetic and always on the go when it comes to physical activities at the gym and park. Looks like they never get tired of running around, jumping, and climbing up the play structures.
オーロラ達はとてもエネルギッシュで、ジムや公園での野外での身体運動活動に常に活発です。 走り回ったり、ジャンプしたり、遊具をよじ登ったりと、飽きることがないようです。
