The students had a crafty math lesson this week. They are learning about place value from ones to hundreds. For the activity the students cut out cubes and designed a robot. Once they finished they needed to figure out how many cubes they used.
ミルキーウェイの算数では「値」の学習をしています！
今週の算数は工作をしながら学びました！
まず、1の位のキューブ、10の位のキューブ、100の位のキューブを使ってロボットを作りました🤖
そして完成したロボットは全部で幾つのキューブが使われているかを計算しました✨
Line of inquiry 2 ended with presentations. The students were put into four groups and decided what kind of conflict they would present about. Once they decided, they figured out solutions for the conflict they chose to present in front of the class. They did a great!
LOI2の探求はプレゼンテーションで締めくくりました！
まず４つのグループに分かれ、スクールで起こるどの問題についてプレゼンテーションをするか決めました。そして、グループのお友達とその問題をどの様に解決するか考えました。
今回のプレゼンテーションでは、セリフや動きなどを先生の助けを借りずに自分達で考え、何度も何度も練習をしました✨
とても完成度の高いプレゼンテーションとなりました♪
今週でLOI２の探求は終わります！
この探求を通して、自分自身の力で問題を解決する事が出来るようになってきました！！
お友達とおもちゃの取り合いになってしまったら”Let’s do rock, scissors, paper!”と声を掛け合う事が出来る様になったり、転んで泣いてしまいそうな時にも数を数え気持ちを落ち着かせるといった姿がたくさん見られます。
このユニットを通して沢山の成長が見られて嬉しいです♪
The students had an opportunity to play outside this week instead of swimming. They had a great time running around. Some students also found some frogs in the tall grass by the play structure.
涼しかったり、暑かったり変な天気が続きましたが、水遊びの代わりに外遊びを楽しみました✨
園庭を駆け回ったり、カエルを見つけて遊びました🐸
