Milky Way November 6 – 10

The sunny weather continued into this week as well. The students loved this and they spent a lot of their time outside again, playing at the park or the playground in front of the school.
They learned a lot about science this week, as we were talking about how fireworks are made and what are the capital cities of some countries in our Geography lesson. The students drew their own fireworks as well by using forks and water paint.
The Christmas show is getting nearer and nearer, so the children are busy preparing both their musical perfromance and their musical play “Hansel and Gretel”. They seem to love the play they are performing as they have been singing the songs from the play and calling each other by their characters’ names all week.
Friday was a special day for the students as they finally got to go on a bus trip to SkyPark near the Shinshu Matsumoto Airport with Rainforest students. They had a lot of fun and laughs running around the park, playing at the playground, eating their bento boxes and exploring the forest surrounding the park. Most of the students were so tired from all the fun that they fell asleep on the bus back to school. We had to wake them up when their parents came to pick them up from school!
Everyone is looking forward to another fun week next week.
