UOI:
We started an experiment 4 weeks ago. We used broccoli sprouts to answer the question we have established while learning about living things and habitats: “Where do plants grow better in cold places or warm places?” 子供達と実験を始めてから4週間が経ちました。予め話し合った”生きているもの”と”生活環境”について浮かんだ疑問点”植物は暖かい環境でより良く育つのか？または、寒い環境でより良く育つのか？”の答えを見つけるためブロッコリースプラウトを使用した実験です。
The students were divided into 4 groups. Each group tried to grow a plant in different habitats. 2 groups tried to grow plants in a cold habitat, one that is exposed to sunlight and one that is not. The other two tried to grow plants in a warm habitat, and like the ones that are in a cold place, They tried to grow plants in a warm habitat, one with full sunlight, one without. 子供達は4つのグループに分かれて、各グループが一つ植物を育て、それぞれは別の環境下で育てます。２つのグループは植物を屋外に育て、一つのグループは日向に置き、もう一つは植物をカバーし太陽に当てない環境下で育てています。また、２つのグループは室内に育てます。屋外同様に、一つのグループは日向に置き、もう一つは植物をカバーし太陽に当てない環境下で育てています。
After 4 weeks of observation and testing, the conclusion has been drawn. Children have therefore concluded that plants die in cold weather and it grows better in a warm habitat with the right amount of water. 4週間の実験結果が出ました。子供達が出した結論は、植物は暖かい環境下で正しいお水の量を与えて良く育ち、寒い環境下では枯れてしまう、という事です。
It’s really fun to see how the faces of the students change when they learn new things. この実験はとてもワクワクする楽しい実験でした。子供達の新しいことに気がついた時の表情も最高でした。
Craft:
February is the love month. Ms. Hitoko led the class in making a card. Before making the cards, first, We read a book and brought up a discussion about love. During our chat, students were asked What is the occasion? What can they make/do? To whom they can give their heart cards. 2月はLOVEの季節。バレンタインカードをクラスで作り楽しみました。制作に入る前に、一冊バレンタインについての本を読み、loveについて話し合いました。ディスカッション中、子供達はこのイベントについて考え、ハートのカードの相手(家族)、愛する人に何をするのかを考えました。
Kids are naturally sweet and caring; Most of them made cards for their parents and some of them made cards for their sisters or brothers and pet! :)子供達は、両親や兄弟姉妹に、またはペットのためにカードを心を込めて作りました。
We have missed our music class this week, because of the holiday. but other than that, everything was the same. 今週木曜日は休日のため、ミュージッククラスはありませんでしたが、他の活動はいつも通り行われました。
So, to conclude our experience this week, We say: It was short but fun! 今週は短いながらも、楽しい1週間でした。以下、公園での様子です。
