Greetings,
Welcome back to class! It was great seeing everyone coming back to school from Obon Holiday. Many different happy stories and wonderful memories were shared in the class on how they spent their summer vacation.
Shooting Star class has resumed the normal routine this week. Students seemed missing the workstations and the four corners of the classroom. Right after they unpacked their backpack, they promptly did the things they used to do.
お盆休みから元気に戻ってきてくれた子ども達😊みんなお休みの思い出をいろいろ話してくれました✨そんな今週は、以前と変わることなく、普段の生活をして過ごしました。
We practiced the race and the parachute performance for the forthcoming Sports Festival. Shooting Star class strived to be communicators and reflective by listening to the instructions and by giving our best to practice in order for us to come up with a wonderful performance.
久しぶりに体育館へ行ってのスポーツフェスティバルの練習。今回は初めて本番と同じ長さのトラックを走りました！スタートからゴール、そして自分の列にまた戻るまで、とっても上手に出来ました✨もう本番を迎えてもいいくらい。パラシュートは、ひとつひとつの動きを丁寧に練習。本番に向けて完成度を高めています😊
After the Sports Festival practice in the gym, we got on the bus and went back to ISN Minami. On our way to the entrance, we dropped by at our garden to pick one tomato and one basil each, brought them to our class for our next activity which was drawing the vegetables. We have harvested the green peppers a day before and put them in the fridge for making pizza. Each student got one green pepper from the fridge, a basil leaf and a tomato fresh from the garden and began to draw. They observed the shape, the size, and the color. Teachers spotted a couple of students who put the real green pepper and tomato on the paper and drew them on real life proportions. Smart move!
さてさて、今週はなんといっても子どもたちが楽しみにしていたピザ作りがありました🍕そんなピザ作りに向けて、シューティングスタークラスで大切に育てた野菜を収穫🍅どのくらい成長したのか、それぞれの野菜の絵を描きました。
Moreover, this week’s highlight was our closing circle open day. We made pizza with veggies toppings-tomatoes, green peppers, and basil. And to make it more palatable, we added corn, tomato sauce and lots of cheese. Say, Cheese. Students ate pizza with their parents at snack time. Thank you parents for making our day more fun. そして、いよいよピザ作り当日✨机の上に並ぶたくさんの材料に目をキラキラさせて説明を聞く子ども達👀💖ミニトマトを切ったり、お友達と協力しながらピザ生地の上に材料を順番にトッピングしていきます。切った時に具が偏らないようにするにはどうしたらいいのか？みんなで話し合いながらトッピングしました😊
Finally, we spent time splashing in the schoolyard pool and playing in the sandpit. We had such a great time!
