This week has been so fun and exciting for our Shooting Star class. First off, we had our regular activities like pool, gym, and going to a park in Matsumoto. This week we didn’t have music because the children had a dental check up.
今週は梅雨の蒸し暑さの中でも子どもたちは元気に遊び学びました！
先週に歯磨き指導があり、Shooting Starのお友達は食事後にしっかりと歯磨きをできるようになりました！木曜日の歯科検診では全員虫歯ゼロ！今後も引き続きスクールでの歯磨きを大事にし、健康な歯と口を保っていきたいと思います。
We did some final UOI things this week and we will be starting unit 2 next week. Thursday we did some fun station activities to reinforce what we have learned during the UOI and math. There was a ring toss, giant board game, and more. It was a blast.
今週でIBユニット１も終わります。”Every family is different”というテーマのもと、自分自身の家族、家族の役割、お友達の家族や世界の国々の家族にまで目を向けて似ていることや違うことを探求してきました。
このユニットを始めるにあたって最初に行ったFormative Assessmentのひとつに家族の絵を描くことをしました。最終週の今回はSummative Assessmentとして再び家族の絵を描きました。今回の絵にはおじいちゃんやおばあちゃんが描かれたり、mom, dad, meなどとファミリーメンバーの名前を綴ることができたり！家族をしっかりと絵と文字で表すことができました！！
また、UOIや算数で学んできたことを取り入れたゲームなどをステーション活動で楽しく復習をしました。それ以外にも輪投げやモビール作成などもして、子どもたちはそれぞれのステーションを楽しむことができました。
For math we had the students trace numbers for the first time. They had a packet to fill out with a fun connect the dots game afterwards and they did a great job. It took a couple of days to finish.

算数は１～５０までの数の歌を歌ってきましたが、今週から数を書く練習が始まりました。みんなとても上手に書くことができました！
