The students have been working very hard this week on their presentations. They have been painting, cutting, making stories and practicing all week.
Friday we had our rehearsal for the presentations! First we went over the rules for being good presenters/performers and how to be a good audience. The students all did a great job using big voices, big actions and they all looked at the audience. They will be working a little more for the presentations next week.
Starting next week they will be thinking about what we can do about these problems. Not just learning about them but how we can help the earth in our own way. The parents will also be able to participate in this next line of inquiry. We are very excited to see what the outcome will be.

ハッピーバレンタインズデー！♡ 今週のShooting Starクラスでは、先週からのプレゼンテーションの準備と練習をしました。物語を子どもたちで考えて、それぞれの台詞を練習しました。金曜日には、プレゼンテーションのリハーサルを行いました。クリスマスショーの時の劇のように、presentersはどんなことを心がけて発表するのか、聞いているaudienceはどんな態度で聞くべきかルールを確認しました。 来週の本番に向けて、それぞれお友達の前で練習できてよかったです！
最近、子どもたちの間で流行っているゲームがスゴロク！！数や色や形のスゴロクボードで遊ぶのが大好きです。さいころを回す順番を決めたり、数を数えてマスを進んだり、お友達とのコミュニケーションをたくさん取りながら楽しめています。
そして、14日はバレンタイン！大好きなお父さんやお母さん、おじいちゃんやおばあちゃんにペロペロキャンディーを作りました！”You ‘re so sweet!”というかわいいフレーズと心のこもったそれぞれのメッセージを添えて・・・大好きな人に子どもたちの大切な気持ちが届きますように！！
