ハサミの練習！ キャニオン ５月１７－１８，２６－２８日
Scissor skills are an essential life skill, but learning and practicing them can be tricky! The best way to practice it is through play and creative pursuits, like this lion craft!
ハサミを使うことは生活をする上で欠かせない事ですが、使い方を学ぶのは大変な作業です。 一番の上達方法は、遊びや物を作ることを通して練習することです。今回のライオン工作のように！
Since this is our class’ first time to use scissors, we reminded them of some rules when using scissors such as:
クラスで初めてハサミを使うので、ハサミを使う時のいくつかのルールを確認しました。
▪︎Hold the blade down when walking with scissors.
▪︎はさみを持って歩くときは、刃の部分をにぎってもちましょう。
▪︎Always walk when carrying scissors.
▪︎はさみを運ぶときは必ず歩きましょう。
▪︎Pass scissors handle first to your friends.
▪︎はさみを友達に渡す時は持つ方を友達に向けて渡しましょう。
▪︎Sit down to do your cutting.
▪︎ハサミを使うときは、イスに座って切りましょう。
Then, we started doing the Lion craft. We had big and small round colored papers. They glued the yellow small paper at the center of the big orange paper. Then cut the orange paper around to make it look like a lion’s face. To complete the face parts, they stuck the googly eyes and drew the nose and mouth. Here it is!🦁
はさみのルールを確認した後、ライオン工作を始めました。 まず、大きなオレンジ色の紙の中央に黄色い小さな紙を糊付けしました。 次にハサミを使って、オレンジ色の紙にチョキチョキと切り込みを入れて、ライオンのたてがみを作りました。 顔の部分を完成させるために、目を付けて、鼻と口を描きました。ほら、かっこいいライオンの出来上がり！🦁
In UOI lessons, we proceeded to discuss the things we like. Last week, we chose which shape they like. After singing Shapes song and reviewing different shapes, two students at a time chose the shape they like and we compared if they like the same or different shape. Two of them like the same shape, which is the heart.
UOIのレッスンでは、引き続き自分たちが好きな物のことについて話し合いました。 先週は、自分たちの好きな形を選びました。 Shapes songを歌い、さまざまな形を復習した後、2人ずつ前に出て自分たちの好きな形を選びました。2人が選んだ形が、同じ形か異なる形かを比べてみましました。 そのうちの2人は同じ形が好きで、それはハートの形でした。
This week, we moved on to the next category which is food. We sang our favourite song, Do you like broccoli ice cream? We reviewed different fruits, vegetables, and desserts and let them choose which one they like most. They colored the picture of the fruit, vegetable, and dessert they like and posted it on our Likes Wall on the plate.
今週は、次のカテゴリーである食べ物に移りました。 みんなのお気に入りの曲、「あなたはブロッコリーアイスクリームが好きですか？」を歌い、その後、さまざまな果物、野菜、デザートの名前を学びました。その中で、最も好きな果物、野菜、デザートを選び、夫々の「僕/私の好きなもの」のボードに貼り付けました。
In phonics, we are now in the letter E, short /e/ as in elephant, egg, earth, envelope, engine, and long /ē/ as in eagle and ear. They coloured the example picture words and searched for the uppercase letter E.
フォニックスでは、 elephant, egg, earth, envelope, engine のような短い/e /の音から始まる単語と、 eagle, earのように長い/ē/の音で始まる単語を学びました。Eから始まる単語の絵に色ぬりをしたり、大文字のEを探すワークシートをしました。
In math, our number focus is 4. We did the Rainbow Number 4 worksheet. Also, we played Number Bingo for number recognition practice.
算数のレッスンでは、4の数字を学習しました。４を書くための、Rainbow Numberワークシートを完成させました。 また、数字認識の練習のためにナンバービンゴもして楽しみました！
We played something new in our classroom on a rainy day, which was a Newspaper Dance. Our Canyon students enjoyed dancing their favorite Let’s Star Jump, and they had to stand on the newspaper when the music stopped. Folding it into half made the game challenging for them because they had to keep their balance standing on the newspaper without falling! That was really fun!
雨の日、教室で新聞ダンスという新しい活動をしました。 みんなのお気に入りのLet’s Star Jumpというダンスソングを踊り、音楽が止まった時に新聞紙の上に立たなければいけないというゲームです。更に新聞紙を半分に折りたたむと、小さくなった新聞紙から落ちずにバランスを保たなければならないので、もっと難しくなってハラハラ！ とっても楽しいゲームでした！
We also had a good time with Rainforest students. We did the usual activity, went for a walk and saw lots of butterflies and ladybugs around!
レインフォレストのお友達とも楽しい時間を過ごしました。教室で毎朝の活動をした後に、レインフォレストのみんなと一緒に散歩に出かけ、たくさんの蝶やてんとう虫を見つけ大興奮のキャニオンさんたち！
We also made another interesting craft which is a frog!🐸 We used milk package for the frog’s body, and glued small pieces of green paper to make it look like a frog and of course drew the frog’s face. Then we enjoyed playing with it!
また、とっても可愛いカエルの工作もしました！🐸カエルの体は牛乳パックを使用し、小さな緑色の紙を付け、カエルの顔も自分たちで描きました。 出来上がったカエルにゴムを付けると完成！手で押さえてから離すと、ピョンっと跳ね上がり、みんな大喜び！雨の日も楽しく過ごしました🎵
