This week was a special one because our youngsters had a chance to experience milking a cow!🐮
In our UOI, we are learning the ways how animals help humans. As part of the lesson, we decided to invite a staff from JA to bring a life size model milking cow to our campus and let our little ones experience how to milk it. Our young ones enjoyed this activity a lot! They said, “it was fun!”, “I want to touch the cow’s stomach.”, “it’s big!” “I like milk!”.🤩 They were so amazed!✨

UOIでは今、動物がどのように人間を助けてくれるのかを学んでいます。その一環として今週、JAの方に来ていただき、実物大の乳牛の模型で子どもたちに乳搾りを体験させていただきました。みんなこの日をとても楽しみにしていて、「牛のおなかを触りたい」「大きい！」「牛乳好きだよー！」「楽しかった！」とすごく嬉しそうでした🤩みんな絞り方も上手で、JAの方もとても驚いていましたよ✨👏🏻 午後は頂いたミルクをおやつと一緒においしく飲みました😊🐄
Meet our new pet, Jaco!✨ Our dear youngsters gave that name to him and they are doing their very best to take care of him! They said, September 13th was Jaco’s birthday so we had an ice cream party for him.🎉 We also made some food for Jaco out of newspaper and fed him. Our little ones liked to get some fresh milk from Jaco and make some delicious foods from its milk such as: ice cream, cheese, butter, and yougurt.🧈🧀🍦 Jaco had so much fun on his birthday!!! Thank you, Canyon!💖
IBワークショップでもご紹介しました乳牛のジャコは、”LOI3: 動物はどのように私たちを助けているか”のアクティビティで、身近な乳製品はどこから来ているのかを学ぶためにCanyonクラスに来てくれました❤️子どもたちが名前をつけ、新聞紙で作った餌をあげたり、搾乳したり、毎日楽しくお世話をしています。ジャコから搾乳した新鮮なミルクで、アイスクリーム、チーズ、バター、ヨーグルトなどのおいしい食べ物を作るのがみんなお気に入り🧈🧆遊びを通し、動物と人との繋がりをしっかりと学ぶことができました。遊びが広がり、ジャコがCanyonに来てくれたお祝いにアイスクリームパーティーもしたり🎉！とても楽しかったね💖！
The fun time never ends in our class! Aside from the cow milking activity, we also played a pig game! We hid 6 small pigs around our classroom and our little ones looked for it one by one!🐷 We did this activity by pair then the we asked them “what food pig gives us?” The students thought of the food they get from the pig such as: bacon, sausage, and ham then the we cooked it for them!🥓 Yummmyyyyyy!!!!
牛の乳搾りの他に、豚からもらえる食べ物について学ぶゲームもしました。教室の中にフエルトで作った6匹の豚を隠し、子どもたちが探します🐷ペアで豚を見つけたら、それぞれ豚がどんな食べ物になるかを考えます。「ベーコン！」「ソーセージ！」「ハム！」などリクエストに答え、豚と引き換えに私たちが調理🥓「Can I have〜？」のフレーズも上手に使えるようになってきました😊
