Rainforest started a new Unit of Inquiry this week: people share responsibility
in order to achieve a common purpose. Students talked about jobs around the
classroom that they often forget to do, for example, keeping their lockers tidy,
remembering to give me their reader and newsletter envelope.
Children also drew pictures of how they show they can be responsible for their
things either at home or at school. Many students drew pictures of helping their parents with
cooking or cleaning their cutlery or getting dressed and bathing themselves.
I hope the students will learn to take more initiative in the classroom and if
you notice them being more helpful at home I will love to hear about it!
