The Five Senses

For the past two weeks Rainforest class has been learning about the five senses of our bodies: taste, touch, sight, hearing and smell. I asked the students to close their eyes and put their hands out and I put different objects that were spiky, soft , bumpy, rough and smooth in their hands.
We also did an activity where the children had to smell various things like Indian spices, hand cream with rose geranium perfume, tiger balm (menthol) and orange. The class also got to taste different foods such as lemon, ginger, chocolate and savoury crackers. There were some very funny reactions from the class! Thank-you to all the parents for welcoming me to Matsumoto, your children are adorable!
