As the whole class continues their journey inquiring about teamwork, they have come up with their own definition of the word. Having in mind the provocation activities, they have concluded that teamwork is being principled; listening, and talking to each other. Thinking ideas with the team. Helping each other. Not fighting. Connect and play with each other. Teamwork is to be caring. It is about being healthy and observing well-being.
クラス全員がチームワークについて探求していく中で、子ども達は自分なりの言葉で、チームワークとは何かを考えました。子ども達から出た答えは：ルールを守る事、お互いの意見に耳を傾け話し合う事、チームでアイデアを考えたり、助け合ったりする事、争いをしない事、互いにつながり、遊ぶこと、チームメートを思いやり、健康なウェルビーイングでいるか確認し合う事：でした。
After ensuring everyone knew what teamwork meant, the whole class finally hopped on to the next level of the inquiry, looking for information about the causes of conflict. But what is conflict?
チームワークとは何かを理解した後、次の単元「衝突とは何だろう？」と考えました。
The word was easily understood by the inquirers with the help of the Sesame Street Characters, who acted out what a conflict is. After getting the meaning, our inquirers assessed how much they knew about the Causes of Conflict using the SOLO TAXONOMY Assessment. It is so surprising that most of them said that they are in the relational stage: this is their first time being exposed to the stage, but as knowledgeable as they are, they could understand its meaning and use right away.
”Conflict（衝突)” この言葉の意味を、セサミストリートのキャラクターたちが分かりやすく演じてくれたので、子ども達はすぐに理解することができました。意味を理解した後、「SOLO TAXONOMY Assessment」を使って、「Causes of Conflict（衝突の原因）」についてどの程度知っているかを評価しました。ほとんどの子ども達が人との関係性の中にあると答えたのはとても驚きでした。このトピックに触れたのは今回が初めてでしたが、知識が豊富な子ども達はすぐにその意味と使い方を理解できたようです。
For reading this week, we read a decodable book called Nan and Pap, the book is an easy read for the level of this class, but that is fine, as the cliche goes: Practice makes perfect. We will read the book again next week but will put some twists to make it more fun.
今週のリーディングは、『Nan and Pap』という本を読みました。似たような音が続くので、意識しながら読む必要がありますが、 練習あるのみ。来週もこの本を読む予定ですが、より楽しくなるよう計画中です。
For Phonics, we are now ready to practice sounding the vowel teams! For this week and next week, we will be looking for words with long a vowel team which are /ai/ and /ay/.
