This week, Aurora class did our reflection of the first unit and started practicing for Sports Festival.今週、オーロラクラスでは、これまでのユニットを終え、ユニットの振り返りの週となりました。また、スポーツフェスティバルの練習を始めました。
✅ Unit of Inquiry
Aurora class were interviewed individually as part of our reflection of the unit with our theme, Who We Are. We reviewed everything we did and students were asked with these three questions, What do you like best in the unit? Why do you like it? And What do you want to learn more? Their answers were very simple and direct like, I like my Aurora book because it’s colorful and I want to learn more about food. I like purple because it’s my favorite color and I want to learn more about colors. Seeing them reflect and hearing them talk brought us a sense of fulfillment knowing that they have somehow understood the concept of the unit and were able to express themselves in English. We make our learning experience as meaningful as possible.
一人ひとり、Who We Areのユニットについて振り返りながら先生からインタビューを受けました。これまで学んできたユニットを一つずつ振り返り、”What do you like best in the unit? “ “Why do you like it?” “ What do you want to learn more?”の３つの質問に答えました。子供達の答えは、ダイレクトかつシンプルで、例えば、” I like my Aurora book because it’s colorful and I want to learn more about food. “や、”I like purple because it’s my favorite color and I want to learn more about colors. “などでした。子供達の振り返りを見て、また子供達の話を聞くことは、このユニットのコンセプトを全てではなくとも、子供達は少なからず一部分でも理解できている事が分かりました。また英語で表現する力がついていることも分かりました。学びの経験ができる限り子供達にとって意味のある物になるよう努めています。
✅ Sports Festival Practice
Our Sports Festival is happening in September. We began practicing for our exercise led by Ms. Hitoko. We practiced the exercise moves one by one and have it done later with a music. We are getting better each time we practice.
スポーツフェスティバルは、9月に予定しています。準備体操の動きをMsHitokoに教わりました。一つ一つの動きをゆっくり練習し、最後に曲に合わせて体操ダンスをしました。練習をする度に上達しています。
✅ Phonics and Tracing Alphabet
This week we learned the phonics J /j/ Our little ones are far better in understanding the letter and their sound by uttering the name of objects that start with it which also increases their vocabulary. We also did tracing letter J and colored the object.
今週、Jjについて学び、トレーシングをしました。その音(今週はJ)から始まる単語を発音する事で覚え、またボキャボラリーも増えていきます。
✅ Music Class
We had our new Music class activity which is the beat perception. We listened to music and find the red/white/yellow paper along to the regular sounds of the music using a stick rhythm instrument. We also walk and gallop around the music room on certain beats. It was relaxing and fun at the same time.
今週は新しいリズム打ちを学びました。スティックを使い、赤、白、黄色の色画用紙をリズムに合わせて打ちます。ピアノの音に合わせて歩いたり、ギャロップをしたりもしました。音楽でリラックスもし、また同時に活動も楽しく参加出来ました。
