The Project (January 30 – February 3, 2017)

This week, we have continued our daily outdoor routine wherein the students run and play games on the exercise track to let loose a little bit after hours spent inside the classroom. We have also been doing various activities which involve grammar, vocabulary building, reading, listening, drawing, writing, speaking, reporting and story-telling.
The students learned the contents of an English dictionary and how to effectively use it. In one of our group activities, the students had to find the definition of the words written on the whiteboard and use them in a sentence correctly (e.g. repulsive, sturdy, paramedic, etc.).
The students also had the chance to watch a short documentary about the children in Africa. They expressed their understanding of what they’ve watched and had an active discussion of the topic. Moreover, they gave examples on how they think they can help those African children and their responses were phenomenal.
Last Tuesday, the students were asked to choose a book/topic/story from the bookshelves in the meeting room, then read and present it to the class as if they were reporting and story-telling.
Happy weekend, everyone!
