This week Milky Way Class was learning about season wear as well as conflict within stories.
We had our new spelling words this week
shirt, pants, skirt, dress, socks, and shoes.
Each student did a great job during their spelling test. Overall each student got a perfect score or near to a perfect score.
We studied our phonics sounds u or ui, ey, og, and ot. The students quickly grasped these terms and were able to move quickly through the concepts. I’m sure this will show a lot of improvement at their at home reading. They are able to learn many different types of phonics sounds and absorb their sounds and uses quickly.
We moved forward with our cities and they are very near to complete. Soon the students will write a small paragraph about their cities so we can begin to display them.
In their gym lessons the students practiced running and racing. The students had a lot of fun testing their skills against one another.
In tennis the students continue to hone their hand and eye coordination. Each time they go there are great leaps in skills for each and every student.
Also the parents do not need to worry about their children during Setsubun. The students were able to drive the evil oni away and continue their studies in peace.
