The weather is getting wet lately and our kids took this opportunity to decorate their own rainy season craft. For this week, we decorated our own photo frame. We first listen to the teacher’s instructions before we start, then we received our photo with the face on it. Next, we place the photo in the window, yes, we can open the window in our frame! After that, we designed the frame with different decorations such as frog, leaf, colorful balls and etc. The Rainbow kids used the glue and paste the decorations carefully, they really enjoyed the craft lesson. Each of them has their own unique ideas on the photo frame. Rain, Rain go away!
ISN長野キャンパス、レインボークラスの保護者の皆様こんにちは！
今週から梅雨入りし、曇り空や雨の日が続いていますがレインボークラスのお友達は元気いっぱい楽しい1週間をスクールで過ごしました。
今週は季節のクラフトの一つ、梅雨にちなんだ制作をしました。レインボーのお友達が雨を窓から眺め”rain rain go away”の歌を歌ってる姿をイメージしました。厚紙を開くと真ん中に各自の写真が出てきます！その回りを思い思いにデコレーションボール、カラフルリボンパスタ、カエル、葉っぱを飾りつけていきました！先生の説明を聞いて、お友達とボンドを順番に使いながら楽しく梅雨の制作ができました。可愛らしい個性豊かな素敵な作品が出来上がりました。

This will be the last week to review our monthly theme, it’s almost July! Our review this week on monthly theme was on the body parts. For this week, we sang the song “Head, shoulders, knees, and toes” and did the body gestures, everyone loves the song no matter how many times we played. We also asked each of them to point to their body parts, head, shoulders, knees, toes, eyes, ear, mouth , nose, hand, and etc. Now they can tell their body parts with confident. We also asked them to pick a card when the teacher mentioned a body part, they were brilliant! They got almost perfect score on it.
もうすぐ7月ですね！そこで、今月のテーマである身体の名前のおさらいをみんなでしました。フラッシュカードを使い一つ一つ発音、名前を確認し、先ずは”head shoulder knees and toes”の歌を振り付きで歌いました。みんなこの歌が大好きであっという間に覚え大きな声で元気に歌ってくれます！
そして先生がみんなに口、頭、肩、目、鼻、手……は？と聞き、お友達は手でその場所を指します。どのお友達も瞬時に手がその場所にいくようになりました。お友達の中には、声に出しながら指してくれるお友達もいました。
他にもカードを使い先生が言った身体の部分の名前のカードを選ぶカルタの様なゲームもしながら楽しく復習する事ができました。集中しながらも笑いや歓声があがったりとお友達と楽しい時間を過ごしました。
Lastly, although it was a rainy week, but there was a day where the sun showed up. In that case, it is PLAYTIME indeed! The Rainbow kids were so happy to go to the park again! We first walked while holding walking rope and always check on the road safety. Safety comes first and we learned about the rules when crossing the road such as “Hand up when crossing, look left and right, walk on the white line and stop when the car is coming your way.” We played hard at the park together with other classes too, Thanks God for the nice weather. みんな大好きな公園の時間です！
曇りや雨の空が続いてる一週間でしたが、この日は徐々にお天気が良くなり公園に行く頃にはお日様がでてきてくれました！お天気がいいとなれば公園に出発！
みんな大喜びで準備をしてしっかり並んでロープをにぎり安全に気をつけて行く事ができました。途中横断歩道では左右を確認し手を上げて歩く！白線の内側を歩く、車が来たらはじに寄り止まる！などもしっかり出来るようになってきました。
公園では上のクラスのお兄さん、お姉さんと一緒に沢山遊ぶことができました。来週もお天気の様子を見ながら外で沢山遊びたいと思います。
