Setsubun is celebrated by throwing of beans to the evil spirits that bring misfortune and bad health.
In our class, our little ones have been so busy this week in preparing for the said festival.
First, they made an “oni monster” craft. They painted an “oni” face shaped paper plate with red and blue paint. Then, they put the oni’s eyes, nose, mouth, horn, and hair on it.👹

今週のレインボークラスでは節分のお祝いをしました！
まずは紙皿を鬼のお面作りです！紙皿を赤か青のどちらか好きな色で塗り、目、鼻、口、つの、そしてクルクルの髪の毛を付け鬼の顔を作りました✨
作業工程の多いクラフトでしたが、みんなとても集中して作品を作っていました！
それぞれ個性溢れる鬼のお面が完成しました✨
After that, they made balls out of newspapers! They used it as beans to throw away the demons. They squeeze it with their full strength. Great job!👏🏻
お面作りの次は、新聞紙を丸めて鬼退治の為の玉を作りました！
出来上がった玉を投げて鬼退治の練習もしました✨
「鬼が来たら泣く？」と聞くと、みんな元気よく”Nooooo!!!!”と答えてくれました！
さて、レインボーさんは無事に鬼退治が出来るでしょうか…👹
Lastly, the event has begun! Our youngsters got so scared with the demons, but they conquered it! We beat the demons!!! Well done, Rainbow!✊🏻
そして迎えた2月2日！レインボーさんのお部屋にも遂に鬼が現れました！👹
鬼が教室に入ってくると「キャー！！！！」と泣き出すレインボーのお友達😂
先生やお友達にしがみついて教室内は大パニック！！
（必死にしがみついてくる姿がとても可愛かったです😍）
それでも勇敢なお友達が鬼にボールを投げ鬼退治をしてくれました✨
鬼が教室から出て言った後もしばらくは「鬼怖かったね」と鬼の話題で持ちきりでした👹
怖い思いもしたけれど、また一つ成長したレインボーさんでした♪
