Time flies. Here comes the Halloween month, October.
This week, our most exciting event was our field trip to Shonai park. Rainbow, Meadow, and Lagoon went together. Yay! Everyone was excited to get on the bus. We had our snack at the park and after that, off we went to play at the play castle and in the sandpit. What a super fun-filled bus trip. On our way back to school, our youngsters were busy talking about their lunch box. We set up our classroom and had our lunch together on the mat. Everyone was happy with their food. Thank you parents for preparing them. Our little ones said, Yummy.
ハロウィンの月、１０月に入りました。
今週は、待ちに待った遠足がありました。バスに乗っている時から大興奮で目的地の庄内公園まで行きました。始めにみんなで午前のおやつを食べ、お約束をしっかりと聞き遊具や砂場、ボールなどで思いおもいに遊びました。帰りのバスの中ではお弁当の話で持ちきり。ランチは、ピクニック気分を味わいながら食べようと部屋にブルーシートを敷いて、みんなで輪になって食べました。嬉しそうにお弁当を開け”yummy!”と言いながら残さず食べました。ステキなお弁当、ありがとうございました。
We have been learning about Halloween and its characters (monster, witch, bat, jack-o-lantern, black cat, vampire, ghost, cowboy, etc) Rainbow loved singing Go Away, Scary Witch, Go Away, Knock Knock, Trick or Treat, and Goodbye My Friends. We have one Halloween freeze game which our youngsters enjoyed doing together. We impersonate the halloween characters and every time we hear a Boo, we stop moving.
ハロウィンについて学んでいます。(モンスター、魔女、コウモリ、カボチャのランタン、黒猫、吸血鬼、オバケなど) ハロウィンの歌、“Go Away Scary Witch” ”Knock Knock, Trick or Treat” “Goodbye My Friends”も大好きです。また、フリーズゲームも楽しんでいます。テーブルの周りを歩き、曲の中にハロウィンのキャラクターがたくさん出てくる中で”Boo!!”と驚かす声が聞こえるとストップする簡単なゲームです。
For the alphabet, we have been learning the letters F, G, and H. I asked them to cover their eyes while I removed one letter on the board and asked them the missing letter. Guess what? They knew exactly what letter was missing. Awesome!
アルファベットでは、先生が、”F,G” と “H,l”のフラッシュカードを手に持ち、子ども達が目隠しをし次にカードを見た時にどの文字がなくなったのかを当てます。みんな見事に正解出来ました！
We had a new set of songs for Music class (The Alphabet Song, Little Peter Rabbit, One Elephant went out to play, I’m A Little Teapot, and This Is Me). Rainbow clapped their hands and tried singing songs with actions together with teachers as some of them were familiar to us already.
ミュージックでは、新しい曲”The Alphabet Song” “Little Peter Rabbit” “One Elephant Went Out to Play” “I’m A Little Teapot, This Is Me“ を学んでいます。先生の見本を見ながらリズム打ちなどに挑戦しました。
We also had time walking around the neighborhood this week. We went watching the trains go by and while waiting patiently, Ms. Ayako and I asked them what color the train will be. They guessed different colors and when the train finally came by, they exclaimed the train color and waved their hands goodbye.
お散歩に電車の線路沿いの歩道に行きました。「次に何色の電車が来る？」と聞くと思いおもいに予想し、電車が来るとその電車の色を叫び手を振る子ども達でした。
