This week in Shooting Star, presentation was the main event followed by Christmas Show practice.
On November 2nd, we played “Click, Clack, Moo. Cows That Type” in front of many parents!! We could show our parents how hard we have practiced in the matter of;
remembering the line, speaking out loud with emotion, gesture and action, and behaving properly in front of audience.
We believe we did our best on the day and would like to say thank you to the parents who have been supporting us and came to out presentation!
Now, we would like to introduce what we do in the morning routine by showing in pictures.
In the morning, as the most students arrive at school by school bus, 9:00 to 9:15 is the time to organize our locker, go to the bathroom, and free play with our friends. Teachers remind us to put the bag pack with zipped and fold the coat/jacket nicely. It is important to go to the bathroom at that time because we are going to have a busy schedule after that!
9:15 to 9:45 is our morning routine.
We start the day with “Morning Song”
Checking the attendance with a question from Ms. Bon, such as “How was your weekend?” “What did you do yesterday?” “How are you today?”
And then we check the date, day, year with words written on the white board. What we are trying hard now is saying phrases in a complete sentence and spelling them correct. We do dance and sing happily along the “Days of the week song” and “Months Song.”
Since Shooting Star children are very confident and want to say the answer the fastest than anyone else, it is also important to be patient. We practice it by “Paint Me a Picture of” game.
First, Ms. Bon asks a question “What day comes first in a week?”
Second, we listen to Ms. Bon’s instruction “Paint me a picture of crying face!”
Then we show her the best crying face in the world!!
Then Ms. Bon chooses who has the best crying face! He/She can answer the question, “It is Sunday.”
Now please enjoy their great (& funny) facial expression!
Other than that, we check the weather. And we enjoy dancing and singing along “The Weather Song.”
It is also a good exercise time for us too, putting hands up high and down, moving both hands and feet, etc.

Finally but most important, we have a new friend in Shooting Star! His name is Takuma and has just joined us on November 1st. Let’s help him and play with him!
