Coinciding with the Christmas Show preparation, this week we started our new IB unit, “How we express ourselves: We are able to express ourselves through the Arts.” The Rainforest students have been practising every day for the Christmas Show now, learning the songs, their lines and actions.
We had a great day at the park yesterday with the beautiful Autumn leaves and some awesome rolly polling down the hill.
In Math this week we learnt about Word Problems where you have to read a sentence in English and work out the answer. The children had to match up the correct sentence to the answer card with their table partner. Children have also been learning some excellent math strategies with the game Connect 4 that Ms Rie bought for all the classes.
As we went to the Chihiro Iwasaki Museum recently, we did some watercolour painting and will have time to made decorations for the Christmas Show and do other forms of art hopefully!
