今週は4月から行ってきたユニットが終わりひと段落したので、外遊びや算数、お絵かきなどをゆっくりと楽しんだ1週間でした。
Sight wordsの確認をしてみましたが4月当初と比べて皆、各段によりたくさんの単語を読めるようになっていました！素晴らしいです！
公園に行けない日には、英語でとなりのトトロを観て、来週から始まる新しいIBユニット”私たちのいる場所と時間”に関連して、日本の昔の家、電話、お風呂などに注目して楽しみました。
This week Rainforest has had fun doing math, drawing and phonics. Next week we will start our new IB unit Where we are in place and time: The history of a country shapes its culture.
I have tested everyone on their sight words this week and I am happy to say that compared to the start of April every student has made progress!
We couldn’t go to the park because of the rain so the children enjoyed watching My Neighbour Totoro in English. At the shrine we saw a small snake in the water which the children were interested in.
