ゴールデンウィークは楽しく過ごせたでしょうか？スクールに戻ってきた子どもたちは、「おじいちゃんの家に行った」「ディスニーシーに行った」「公園でたくさん遊んだ！」と次々に思い出を話してくれました。
『自分とお友達を理解することは、より良い関係を築くのに大切』というセントラルアイディアで行っている今週、Rainforestではそれぞれの得意なことをお友達に教え合いました。折り紙でピアノを折ること、縄跳び、お絵かき、ボーリング、スキー、三つ編みの仕方など・・・。みんなとても楽しそうにお友達に教えていました。
Rainforestの最近のお気に入りの本はPrincess Smartypantsという本で、怪獣のお友達と遊ぶのに忙しいお姫様が王子様と遊びたがらないお話です。面白いイラストに笑いながら、楽しく読んでいました。
算数ではdoubling numbersを学んでいます。金曜日には母の日のクラフトをしました。
Welcome back everyone from the break over Golden Week. I had a fantastic holiday in Taiwan and saw lots of beautiful beaches, waterfalls and mountains!
Ms Sayo and I have been teaching the students about skills they are good at as part of our IB central idea “Understanding ourselves and others helps build stronger relationships”. Students have taught their friends how to make origami, jump rope, draw pictures, bowl ten pins, ski (simulation only!) and plait rope.
We read a funny book called Princess Smartypants about a princess who doesn’t want to get married to any princes because she’s too busy having fun with her monster friends. There were many funny illustrations that the children enjoyed looking at.
In math we have been learning about doubling numbers (addition) and we made a card for Mother’s Day.
