Welcome all Project students and families to the 2018 school-year blog!
I would first like to say to all parents, guardians and extended families that I am glad to have returned to ISN, to have returned to the Project and to teaching and getting to know your children. I look forward to seeing all students develop in all aspects of their life and should you ever wish to communicate with me, I cordially invite you to freely do so. Over the last few weeks the students have been settling in and becoming familiar with their new class and classmates, their new teacher and their new routine.
Project students have been enjoying a wide array of learning and activities. The typical day begins with an initial greeting before free-play outside. During this time the students tend to play soccer or catching with balls, a tactical & (very) aerobic game that the children simply refer to as the ‘bandana game’ where they are split into three teams whose goal it is to remove bandanas from other colored teams, or to amuse themselves with role play in the school’s playhouse depending on their inclination on the particular day.
Following this the students return to their classroom for their evening snack and then begin classroom activities. In the classroom, an emphasis is placed on enjoyment, participation, and speaking in English. Topics covered hitherto have been geography, science, mathematics, creative writing, analytical thinking and English as a subject.
This variety will continue as students similarly continue to learn and enjoy the content and their immersion in English and photos will follow.
プロジェクト（放課後英語プログラム）のお子さんやご家族の皆さん、2018年度のブログへようこそ！
プロジェクト クラスBの担任（Mr. Chris）をすることができ光栄です。子供たちのあらゆる面でのこれからの成長を楽しみにしています。皆さんとコミュニケーションをたくさん取っていきたいと思っていますので、お気軽にお声がけください。
子供たちは、ここ数週間で、新しいクラス・クラスメイト・新しい先生や日課に慣れてきました。プロジェクトの子供たちは、様々な学習と活動を楽しんでいます！ プロジェクトの始まりに挨拶をして、サッカーやキャッチボール、バンダナゲーム（しっぽ取りゲーム）などの外遊びをします。しっぽ取りゲームでは、3チームに色別に分かれて、相手チームのバンダナをどのチームが一番多く取れるか競ったり、おままごとなど元気いっぱい楽しんでいます！ 外遊びを楽しんだ後は、クラスルームに戻り、おやつを食べ、クラスルーム内での活動を始めます。クラスルームでは、楽しむこと、参加すること、英語で話すことに重点を置いています。これまでは、地理、科学、算数、作文、分析的思考（analytical thinking）や英語のトピックスを扱ってきました。これからも子供たちがプロジェクトを継続して楽しんで学び、英語に夢中になっていくとともに、プロジェクトの内容も一層充実させていきたいと思います。
