Hello Parents,
Happy New Year!
We were so happy welcoming back our dear youngsters from Winter Holiday. At the beginning of the year, Rainbow has been split into two classes, Rainbow and Meadow. We have three new friends in Meadow. They are Hiroto, Sora and Kotaro. Meadow has only eight members at the moment, very easy to manage and we have spacious classroom to learn and play. Although new members are still experiencing separation anxiety, they are easy to deal with. For this week, we allowed them to play more both inside and outside the classroom. We tried to make them feel relaxed and comfortable with the teachers and friends.
Rainbow and Meadow had a Gym Class and park outdoor activities together. They loved being with one another. The new Meadow members enjoyed the gym activities and park play too.
Look how independent they were during lunch time. They could eat by themselves with a little supervision from teachers, like reminding them all the time to use the spoon/fork/chopsticks. Well done Meadow.
For the lesson, we started teaching them the Alphabet using the flashcards (A for apple and B for Bus). We sang the “ABC Song”. We also learned about the colors and read the story about Barney’s Rainbow which they like a lot.
