From this month on, Meadow will get our very own weekly blogs. We begin the month of August with the theme on “Land Animals”. This week, the children were introduced – giraffe, bear, bird and rabbit.
Meadowクラスでは、8月のテーマである”Land Animals”について学び始めています。今週は、子供たちはgiraffe（キリン）, bear（クマ）, bird（トリ） and rabbit（ウサギ）について学びます。
We loved the bear the most and made a stick puppet. Our favourite book is “Brown bear brown bear what do you see?” by Bill Martin Junior and Eric Carle. It’s a popular book and available in bookstores in Matsumoto. The repetitive rhyming sentences and beautiful illustration of animals capture the children’s imagination. Add that to your home library today!
大好きなBearのパペットを制作しました。エリック・カールさんの絵が素敵なビル・マーチン・ジュニアさん作の”Brown bear brown bear what do you see?”はクラスお気に入りの本です。とても有名な本ですので、松本市の本屋さんでも手に入れることが出来ます。繰り返される英語の表現もリズミカルで、可愛い動物の絵も子供たちの想像力を膨らませています。是非ご家庭の本棚に足してみては如何でしょうか？
We have a child-sized giraffe toy in our classroom. The children have been instructed to pat it gently. No kiddy rides please! To spice up our Sports Festival, we have been tasked to put up some artwork. Meadow made jellyfishes and a big red crab is work in progress too.
クラスに子供サイズのキリンさんが登場です。子供たちには、キリンさんを優しくなでたり扱うように指導しました。ふざけた乗り方はしないでね、と伝えています。
スポーツフェスティバルを賑やかにするためにデコレーションアイテムを制作しています。MeadowからはJellyfish(クラゲ)と大きなCrab(カニ）を制作予定です。Jellyfishはクラスの外に展示していますので是非ご覧ください。
