Rainbow~Happy Mother’s day to all our lovely mothers! May 8th~12th

Warm greetings to our faithful readers! We hope you had a lovely Golden week holiday. Since the students had been away from school for quite a while we thought they were going to have a hard time adjusting to the flow of school life but much to our surprise and delight eveyone came back ready to go!It was like they never left.

Mother’s day craft

According to Mitch Albom, “When you look into your mother’s eyes, you know that is the purest love you can find on this earth.” The highlight of our week was doing the mother’s day craft. Mother’s day is celebrated on different dates across the world. It is generally celebrated in May but countries such as Norway, Luxembourg, Argentina and Thailand celebrate it in February, June ,October and August respectively. In Japan this year Mother’s day falls on May 14th. To show how much we really love and appreciate our mothers Rainbow class made a heartfelt craft for them. As we were perfecting the craft, we could hear remarks like,” I want to show this to mom”, “I’m making a flower for my mom” etc. It’s good that the students enjoyed making something special for someone who is very near and dear to them! From the bottom of our hearts we thank you for the love you always shower us with and everything you do for us our dear mothers!

Gym class

We did something new at this week’s gym class! The teacher gave us pink hula hoops and we all enjoyed pretending we were bus drivers and pretending that the hoola hoops were vaccum cleaners. It goes without saying that pink is the favorite color of most of the Rainbow girls. Playing with hula hoops is fun but the fact that they were pink added a pinch of joy to the experience!

Music class

Everyone knows the lyrics to the songs we sing in music class now. So far it appers that “zou san” and “ito maki maki” are the students’ two favorites. Some students who usually have a hard time sitting still during a lesson are well-behaved and actively participate in music class! The music teacher and the homeroom teachers are so proud of Rainbow for doing their very best during music class.I won’t be surprised If one of the Rainbow students become musicians in the future!

Until next week, it’s au revoir from us! Enjoy your weekend.

来週までau revoirさようなら!よい週末をお過ごしください!
