This week the students have been learning the three R’s. Reduce, Reuse, and recycle. Monday the students learned about reuse. We talked about plastic, how it affects the earth, and what we can do to help. After the discussion we started making eco bags. It took about two days to make and they look great!
今週子供たちは３R （Reduce, Reuse, Recycle ）について学びました。月曜日にはまずReuseについて学び、ビニル袋は地球にどのような影響をが与えているのか、また私たちはどんなことをして地球を守ることができるのかを話し合いました。話し合いの結果、エコバックを作成することになりました！ 丸二日かけて作り、素晴らしい自分だけのエコバックに仕上がりました。！
Thursday we talked about recycling and how to sort trash. In the class there is plastic, paper, and burnable. Throughout the unit we will sort garbage into each box. Things that go into the paper box will later be reused during free play for drawing or crafts.
木曜日にはRecycle（リサイクル）について話し合い、ごみを分別することを学びました。クラスに、プラスチック、紙、燃えるゴミの3種類の箱を置きました。このユニットを通して、子供たちは身の回りのごみを、3種に分別することをしていきます。Paper （紙）と書いた箱に入れられたものはReuse （再利用）され、後に子供たちが遊びの時間にお絵かきや工作に使用します。
Friday the students practiced how to reduce. They learned how we can reduce how much we use plastic. One example is using their eco bags and saying no to plastic. The class practiced saying no to plastic so when they go to the store, they can use the tools they learned to help the earth. A check list was sent home so the parents can also participate with the students so it can be a family activity. We are excited to see how it goes!
金曜日はReduse（減らすこと）について学び、子供たちは、「どれだけ多くのビニルの使用を私たちは減らすことができるのか」を学びました。例えば、お買い物に行くとき、レジ袋の購入を断りエコバックを使用することなどです。クラスのレッスンで、”レジ袋はいりません。バックがあります。”と言う練習をしました。お買い物に行くときに、地球を守るために学んだ知識を活かして、自分で作ったエコバックを実際に使うことができます。”3Rチェックリスト”もこの週末お家に持ち帰るので、 お子様と一緒に”家族活動” として、エコ活動への参加にご協力をお願いします。
