We reviewed our study focus on beetles with our Beetles Mind Map – asking the HOW, WHERE, WHAT, other questions, and giving answers to our inquiries. We drew, we wrote, we pasted pictures of our learning so far about beetles which included ladybugs, longhorn beetles, rhinoceros beetles and stag beetles. We frame our learning with KWL – What I Know, What I Want to know, What I Learned.
テントウムシ、カミキリムシ、カブトムシ、クワガタムシを中心にして学んだ事を、絵を描いたり絵を貼り付けたりしてマインドマップを作りました。このマップを使って、KWL（私が知っていること、私が知りたいこと、私が学んだこと）をみんなでまとめてみました。
We had great fun in the park too. We found tiny black spotted frog, cicada shells and a waterfall! In the classroom, we made origami cicadas, and tried drawing a ladybug step by step. To draw, we used shapes like circles, ovals and zig zag lines. We had a big clean up of the classroom. Savanna was really good at wiping their cubbies and packing their things to bring home for the holiday. Till we meet again, take care and Happy Obon Holidays!
公園でセミの抜け殻や黒い斑点のある珍しいカエルを見つけたり、滝を見学したりと楽しい時間を過ごしました。お部屋では、折り紙でセミを作ったりてんとう虫の絵を描いたりと、工作にも意欲的に取り組んでいますよ。丸や楕円、ジグザグの線など多くの形を使いながらテントウムシの絵を仕上げました。お休み前の大掃除として、自分のロッカーやかごを丁寧に拭いて綺麗にしたサバンナさんです。
