Starting off with a cool new unit, all about space exploration and what could be the benefits of this subject. The 3rd graders have taken a pretty good liking to space and have also shown great knowledge, greater than expected in all honesty. The first activity, was to draw as much of the solar system as they could, on a large, stretched out sheet of papers, using just drawing pencils, and imaginative brains. After all, it is about space!!! it was expected that they would struggle with this activity, but far from it. They managed to remember all the planets, included the stars and the moon plus, portrayed the enormity of the sun. Pretty impressive stuff! The week was capped off with a visit to the Matsumoto Planetarium. This was another great way to learn more about the elements of space. The students got to watch an interesting, and short documentary about space, and the possible way of how we have come to know the universe as we do today. Looking forward to more!!!!
G3ではクールな新ユニット、宇宙開発とその利点についてからスタートしました。3年生は宇宙が大好きで、正直なところ予想以上の知識を持っていました。最初の活動は、大きく伸ばした紙の上に、画用紙と想像力を駆使して、できるだけ多くの太陽系を描くというものでした。何といっても宇宙ですからね！この活動に苦戦するだろうと思っていましたが、そんなことはありませんでした。彼らはすべての惑星を覚え、星や月を含め、さらに太陽の巨大さを表現したのです。本当に素晴らしいです！
今週の締めくくりは、松本プラネタリウムへの訪問でした。これもまた、宇宙の要素を学ぶのに最適な方法でした。生徒たちは、宇宙についての興味深い短いドキュメンタリーを見て、私たちが今日のように宇宙を知るようになった理由について考えました。今後も楽しみにしています。!!!!
