Government Hijinx and Posters

In the past week, the class worked on individual projects to research a country of their choosing from around the world and make a poster briefly describing that country and it’s system of governance.

Country choices ranged from Monaco to Sudan, Libya and the Vatican City. It was interesting to see to the diversity of systems and also listen to the students questions as they worked to comprehend the complexity of political structures.

The posters were well written with good layout and design. It’s nice to see everyone progressing with their awareness of information and how it can be communicated.

We also had another round of the government game. The students seemed to really take with this game and the various unexpected possibilities it presented them with.

The nicest part of this was hearing students say that they thought this game helped them to better understand what cooperation means.

If only all governments could be saying the same.

Have a nice week everyone.
