Hello, everyone. How was your week?
The grade 5, 6 and 7 students continued to work very hard in order to complete the summative assessment of the first Unit of inquiry, their own movie. After finishing the screenplay, this week it was time for filming. The two movies couldn’t be different, and where one group is filming a comedy in a school setting the other is doing a mystery story and even went to film on location – to the bamboo grove nearby. We can’t wait to premiere the films next week, after the editing process is finished. 📽
皆さん、こんにちは。今週は如何でしたか？今年度最初の探究の単元の最終プロジェクト”映画”を完成させるために、頑張って取り組みました。脚本が完成しましたので、今週はついに撮影を行いました。2つの映画はとても異なる作品となりました。1つ目のグループは、スクール内でコメディを撮影しました。もう一つのグループはミステリー小説を撮影し、キャンパス近くの竹林に行き撮影をしました。来週、編集を終えた後に完成した映画を見るのが待ち遠しいですね。
Over the past several weeks, the students have been working hard on practicing a dance choreography during their dance lessons on Tuesdays and Thursdays. They have chosen the song and the dance movements on their own and are excited to show the dance, if school closures permit, during July’s Sports Festival! 🏀
これまでの数週間、火曜日と木曜日のダンスの時間にダンスの振り付けの練習をしてきました。自分達で歌とダンスの動きを選びました。休校期間が終えスポーツフェスティバルが開催されることになればダンスを披露する予定です。今から楽しみです。
In Art lesson, the students discussed whether architecture can be considered an artform and tried their hand at sketching geometrical shapes and forming them into creative buildings. In Health, they discussed community exercise areas and in History, they presented the research they’ve done on the topic of ancient currencies from around the world. In Math, they practiced geometry and types of angles, while in English Literature, they talked about simile and metaphor in writing. 🔭
アートの時間に、建築は芸術形式と言えるかについて話し合いをしました。幾何学的図形を一生懸命にスケッチして、創造的な建物を作りました。ヘルスの時間は、地域のエクササイズできる場所について話し合いをしました。歴史の授業では、古代の貨幣について調べたことを発表しました。算数の授業では図形と角度についての問題に取り組みました。英文学の授業では直喩と比喩について学びました。
