Spring is in the air in Matsumoto. We are beginning to see cherry blossoms in our walks. We tried using watercolour in our spring artwork for the first time and it turned out really well. We learned a traditional folk song “Sakura” and watched a video story “Spring is Coming”.
松本に春がそこまで近づいてきています。お散歩では桜の花がもうすぐ見られるようになりそうです。オーロラクラスでは、春のアート作りで初めて水彩絵の具を使い、とてもきれいな作品が出来上がりました！日本の童謡「さくら」を歌ったり、「春はもうすぐ」というビデオを見て、春の到来を感じました。
We practised writing our names. The focus is on the first letter as the uppercase and the rest lowercases. We tried to write our letters “sitting on the line”. We had puzzle games to match upper and lowercase letters too.
自分の名前を書く練習を今週もしました。最初の文字は大文字で、残りの文字は小文字で書くことを学びました。線の上に字が座っているように、書くことに挑戦しました。大文字と小文字を合わせるパズルもして楽しみました。
We finished our shoebox diorama for our various habitats. Each student presented to the class with some help from the Teachers. We started with greeting the class: “Good morning Aurora. Today I have a shoebox diorama. This is an Ocean habitat. This is a jellyfish…”
色々な生息地に住む、ジオラマ製作が終了しました。先生に少し助けてもらいながら、自分たちの作ったジオラマについて前で発表をしました。聞いてくれているみんなに挨拶をすることから始めました。「おはようございます、オーロラさん。今日はジオラマを持ってきました。これは海に住む動物のジオラマです。これはクラゲです…」
We had a different kind of birthday party this month. It was held outdoors and we were treated to a juggling act! Happy 4th birthday to two of our Aurora students.
今月はいつもとは違ったお誕生日会をしました。屋外で、Ms. Atsukoによるジャグリングを見せてもらいました。2人のオーロラさん、お誕生日おめでとう！！
Park play resumed and everyone was really glad! Have a fantastic long weekend. 久しぶりに公園に行く事が出来て、みんな大喜び！良い週末をお過ごしください！
