It’s almost time to finish the first Unit of Inquiry of the year and the Upper Elementary Class students seem to be grasping its concepts very well. The students have also started enacting some of their ideas for improving their classroom and school, the first one up being painting the cardboard screen used in the class. The screen was measured first, divided into sixteen equal parts and the artist let their imagination run wild, with only one task: depict something that is making our world a better place.
This week also marked the week of the parent teacher meetings. Hopefully everyone has a pleasant and informative time. Thank you for coming.
アッパーエレメンタリーのクラスは、もうすぐ、今年度最初の探求の概念（first Unit of Inquiry）を終えようとしています。みんな、最初の探求の概念をとても良く理解しているように感じます。
今週は、今まで皆で考えてきたクラスや学校をより良くしていくための幾つかのアイディアに取り組み始めました。教室で使う段ボールのスクリーンに絵の具で描いたりしました。みんなで、集中してスクリーンの寸法を測り、16等分に切ることができました。想像力を働かせながら、楽しそうにそれぞれのアイディアを描いていました！
また、今週から、保護者懇談会が始まりました。学校やご家庭でのお子様の様子などをお話しでき、とても有意義な時間を過ごすことができました。お忙しい中、懇談会へお越し頂きありがとうございました。
