New Ideas!

It has certainly been an incredible week! Celebrating creativity in our preparations for our end of year show, students have been buzzing with ideas about how to make our performances more exciting and meaningful for our audience.
Our play, our songs and our music are requiring lots of new ideas and everyone has been keen to share. Our costumes and costumes as well as our actions and expressions are being fine tuned for entertainment by each student’s excellent new ideas. In our class we need every person, for their ideas, for their curiosity, and for their enthusiasm. Together we are creating an excellent show!
During our current IB unit of inquiry, 3 students have come up with new ideas that the whole class has wanted to put into action. Our latest student to inspire investigation was Nayl who encouraged everyone to further investigate sign language for one of our songs for the Christmas Show. Researching on our computers, we found a sign language site that acted out the signs of any word we required. After learning more of these hand signs we were able to complete the final part of the song in sign language. Thank you Nayl and everyone who got behind his idea. Everyone showed curiosity, cooperation and commitment to complete the investigation and then act it out.
This week we have also been enjoying watching and listening to more of our Mystery Culture Presentations. Through art, students have been investigating different cultures and presenting their history, their beliefs and their values. Each slideshow has been like a journey into an interesting new world, and everyone has enjoyed trying to guess the country that created the art.
