Shooting Star and Savanna November 6-17

The time is going by so quickly! We are already halfway through November, and the weather is getting very cold! The students are getting very excited about sharing their play and piano playing skills with parents, during the Christmas performance on December 15th!
In the classroom, we are working on the Learner Profile, and teaching the students what it means to be caring, balanced, reflective, and open-minded. There are more, but focusing on a few at a time helps the children to really understand the meaning of the word. All of the students are very familiar with the IB Attitudes, and are able to relate them to many in class situations. In Shooting Star, they are even able to choose which attitude they thought they were best at each day.
Not only that, but the students in both classrooms have been working more with learning stations! They are really enjoying using blocks, and LEGOs to explore math, and to be creative. They are able to draw pictures or write on papers without lines, and are sharing their wonderful understandings with us! Mr. Jimmy and Ms. Amy are very excited by the students’ hard work and their ideas.
Thank you to parents who had lunch in the classroom this week! The children were so excited to see moms and dads, and show them the classroom and their work. We hope you enjoyed visiting!
Have a wonderful weekend!
